Awarded to Sarah, JoAnna Wendel and Maria Temming for a trio of science comics: Cockatoos learn from each other how to open garbage bins, A panda stands out at the zoo but blends in the wild and Goldfish driving ‘cars’ offer new insight into navigation, published at Science News Explores. Rory Galloway, podcast producer for The Economist, said in a press release, “The authors and illustrator explained the scientific process with a light touch, in a way that was both fun and hugely engaging for young people.”
